Administrative Assistant

After 24 years at Foxfield, our lovely admin assistant is retiring. Therefore we are looking to appoint an Administration Assistant to support in the school office. You will be a friendly, efficient, enthusiastic, reliable, experienced person with a good sense of humour and the ability to do 10 different things at the same time all with a smile on your face!

Foxfield Primary School, part of the Inspire Partnership Academy Trust, is an Outstanding school based on the Woolwich/Plumstead borders, with easy transport links.

You will need to:

  • Have an excellent telephone manner and be experienced in general reception duties;
  • Be able to deal sensitively with matters pertaining to children, parents, staff and outside agencies;
  • Be aware of the need for confidentiality;
  • Provide efficient and effective systems of communication between trustees, staff, the governing body, parents and the wider community;
  • Have a high level of literacy and numeracy;
  • Have experience of inputting pupil information quickly and accurately;
  • Be able to work on your own initiative;
  • Have a working knowledge of SIMs (including dinner money module) or be willing to learn
  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining a sense of humour;
  • Have excellent IT and interpersonal skills.

The post is for 35 hours per week (8.30am-4.30pm), 40 weeks per year.

Pay range: Scale 4 spine points 7 – 10 (£22,377 - £23,607 full time equivalent)

Previous administration experience is essential for this post.
