Race for life 2018

On the 5th July Foxfield is holding our very own Race for Life event for Cancer Research UK.

Our youngsters are the generation that could see ground-breaking treatments and cures for cancer in their lifetime. They are the rising stars who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part in Race for Life and uniting together against cancer, they’ll be doing something really special.

Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for their research, so the more of us who join the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner.

The race will be taking place during the school day and each child will receive a medal for completing the race.

The aim of the event is to have fun and raise awareness for Cancer Research, so we are asking to a voluntary donation of £1.00, or if your child would like to gain sponsors from friends and family we have attached is sponsorship form.

If you’d also like the chance to take your place on the starting line at Race for Life, visit raceforlife.org to sign up for your nearest Race for Life event.

In addition to this Miss Nunn will be “Braving the Shave” for Macmillan Cancer charity.  Miss Nunn has bravely volunteered to shave her hair off and donate it to the Little Princesses charity.  This is a charity who donate wigs for children and young adults with cancer.  Miss Nunn will be having this done in the KS2 playground after school on the 18th July.  If you would like to sponser her in the meantime please go on the website bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk and search for Jude Nunn.

Together, we’ll be an unstoppable force against cancer.
